WaxEssence is a small business started by Frances Tandoh in Cincinnati, OH. We have been in business since 2013.
There's nothing more soothing than lighting beautifully scented candles to set a warm and cozy atmosphere. We can all admit that homes feel more relaxed with these well-scented objects.
We've achieved great success in creating unique candles that do not only make a home smell amazing or feel homier but add to the décor by accentuating the freshness and overall visual appeal.

All our candles are made from 100% Soy Wax and Coconut Wax—vegan, cruelty-free and phthalate free and infused with natural essential oils.
Many reasons we prefer to use soy:
- It burns longer
- It doesn't interfere with the aromas of meals
- Soy is a renewable resource
- Soy burns cleaner and produces as much as 90 percent less soot
- It does not produce as much heat
- Purchasing soy supports American farmers
Many reasons we prefer to use Coconut wax:
Coconut wax is produced by pressing the oil out of the coconut meat and going through hydrogenation. It is filtered and cleaned, giving you 100% natural and fully biodegradable wax.
It is a renewable and high yield crop that means fewer coconuts are needed to get a sizable product—making it one of the most eco-friendly waxes on the market.
